The Academic Council meeting of Ashna University was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Hasibullah Niazi, Academic Vice Chancellor of the University.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the completion of faculty credit requirements, the production of scientific research articles, the enhancement of knowledge among Islamic Culture instructors, and the regular conduct of advisor–student meetings. Two types of faculty evaluations—self-evaluation and evaluation by the Head of Department—were introduced to support the professional development of academic staff. Participants also stressed the importance of fully implementing courses in accordance with the approved curricula and syllabi.
The council approved the organization of two-week remedial sessions for academic departments. In addition, discussions highlighted the need for adequate preparation for end-of-semester examinations and the timely submission of standardized examination questions.
Several proposals submitted by faculty members were approved, including the establishment of a digital question bank, the organization of workshops on modern teaching methodologies, and the development of incentive mechanisms to encourage researchers and academic staff.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Niazi described the session as productive and emphasized the importance of monitoring the implementation of the council’s resolutions, particularly those related to self-evaluation processes and remedial academic sessions.
